Weekend Weather Anchor / Reporter

KIFI Local News 8 and KIDK Eyewitness News is looking for a weekend weather anchor and a weekday reporter.
The candidate would be responsible for creating the area’s most respected weathercast in the region and maintain the station’s First Alert weather brand on the weekend. Your responsibilities will be to provide the forecast for nearly two dozen cities, but also for some the nation’s most popular vacation destinations, including Yellowstone and Grand Teton National Park, along with Idaho’s central mountains.
You will also be responsible for reporting 3 days a week. This includes shooting, writing, editing and presenting stories both on-air and online. You will work with some of the highest digital technology in the market, including Sony XDCAM HD cameras, Velocity editors, ENPS and three live trucks.
NPG of Idaho also uses some of the most advanced weather technology in the market with Baron Weather System's Omni and its popular VIPIR Radar. Other valuable tools include a neighborhood weather network, sky camera’s in four different locations and work closely with the National Weather Service, as we are an official NWS reporting station for the city of Idaho Falls.
Candidates must have a degree in journalism, media, or related field. Prior experience with weather graphics systems, a working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel, world-wide-web, email and ENPS is a plus, but not required.
