POCATELLO, Idaho -

Almost a dozen local POW/MIA group members greeted Major Phillip Ulmer as he stepped off the plane on Wednesday for the 13th annual POW/MIA Rodeo.

Ullmer is the Director of Public Affairs for the Joint POW/MIA Accounting Command headquartered in Hawai'i.

Although small in numbers, the group works toward bringing local and nationwide soldiers back home.

Pocatello POW/MIA representative Jennifer Bowen said they brought back three Idaho soldiers so far, with seven more still needing to come home.

According to the organization, there are currently 83,348 United States soldiers unaccounted for from past conflicts including World War II, the Korean War, the Cold War, Vietnam, and even Iraq.

The three-day event will help raise money for the group, and Bowen said she can safely predict more people than ever before will be in attendance.

The event will take place at the Bannock County Fairgrounds on Friday morning at 9 o'clock, and will end on Sunday at noon.
