IDAHO FALLS, Idaho -

A new dog grooming salon called Splash will have its grand opening Saturday, March 8. Splash is a self-serve pet spa that utilizes waist-high bathing tubs. They provide everything from shampoo to towels for one flat price.

The salon prides itself on American-made merchandise. Owner Trina Dixon said she loves her new location in downtown Idaho Falls. She believes it will be a great place for people to bond with their pets without the mess of bathing their dogs at home.

"This is something that I wanted to do. I look forward to coming to work every day." She said, "I love dogs and I get to meet all these new people, and all their dogs and I get to mingle with the public."

The spa is offering free baths for adopted pets, as well as a grand opening promotion. A self serve bath is $12, but this price is only good through Saturday.

The store is located at 333 W Broadway near Chesbro Music. There is parking behind the building on Shoup Avenue.
