A Pocatello police K9 found a suspected burglar hiding in the trunk of a car early Thursday.
Police were called to Shaw Auto Parts shortly after midnight after they received two alarms from the main offices. Officers saw a man inside the fenced area next to the offices at 1445 N. First Street.
According to reports, several officers surrounded the fenced area. Police discovered the western door of the office had been forced open. A second outlying building had also been broken into and entered.
After searching the buildings, police called in a K9 officer and his partner to search the yard. The dog alerted on one of the vehicles in the salvage yard. Scott B. Corn, 44, was found hiding in the trunk around 12:50 a.m.
Corn was arrested on a burglary charge and taken to the Bannock County Jail.
