Blackfoot man dies in Utah crash

Jack Le Roy Seiber of Blackfoot was driving this Ford Escort when he killed in a weather-related, two-car crash in Carbon County, Utah, on Feb. 27.

CARBON COUNTY, Utah -

A Blackfoot man is dead after his car was hit by an SUV in a weather-related accident in Utah.

The Utah Highway Patrol said 22-year-old Jack Le Roy Seiber was driving a red Ford Escort on State Route 6 in Carbon County when his car was hit by a green Toyota 4Runner around 3 p.m. Thursday.

Police said the driver of the 4Runner lost control due to a heavy rainstorm and crossed into oncoming traffic.

Seiber was killed when the driver side of his car was hit.

The two people in the SUV were taken to the hospital with injuries that were not life-threatening.
