POCATELLO, Idaho -

Pocatello police arrested Dennis Ray Hange, Jr. , 29, on two misdemeanor charges following a shooting incident in the 400 block of West Fremont, just north of Pocatello High School, at 3:20 am Thursday. Hange was arrested on charges of exhibiting or use of a deadly weapon and discharge of a firearm within city limits.

Police were called by a female neighbor who reported Hange pulled a gun out of his waistband and pointed it at her.  She told police he fired two shots straight into the air and three shots into the ground and then went back into his home.

Officers Hange would not open the door for police, who found brass casings for a .380 automatic in the front yard.

Hange was arrested Thursday afternoon.
