Today's Main Street Buzz is all about fitness. Two new and very unique fitness facilities opened in Idaho Falls and Ammon. The national chain Koko Fit Club opened two locations in Ammon and downtown Idaho Falls. The fit club is the first automated personal training studio in the world. The club's members use technology to get personalized fitness results.
"We've taken exercise science and blended it with technology to make it affordable to everybody vs those who can pay like thousands of dollars to be trained one on one in the club," said personal trainer Chris Sorensen.
Members get an initial Koko-Fit Check, which helps create a personalized fitness plan and puts it on your Koko key.
The key is then inserted in the training machines much like a flash drive which guides you through your personalized exercise routine.
The program even has health tracks for brides-to-be, post-pregnancy weight loss, and exercise for arthritis and diabetes.
If machines aren't your workout of choice a good workout anti-gravity yoga has come to Idaho Falls.
Super Fly Fitness opened at snake river landing this week. The workout is part yoga, part gymnastics, part acrobatics. Class members use a silk fabric to suspend themselves in the air.
The class is designed to feel a bit like flying while getting a workout.
"There's really nobody that cannot do this class. We monitor our resistance there's lots of different techniques. I'm right there hands-on like a gymnastics coach would be to guide you through the moves motions and the flying," said instructor Alex Chapman.
Super Fly Fitness also offers weight training and Zumba classes.
