Friends of the Teton River names interim executive director
A Driggs woman has been named Interim Executive Director of Friends of the Teton River. FTR Board President Kim Keeley said Amy Verbeten has served as the organization's Education and Outreach Director since 2007.
Her work included the successful Water Wise community education program and oversite of K-12 education programs and teacher professional development workshops. Verbeten previously served as Youth Programs Director for the Gore Range Natural Science School in Avon, Colorado and as an instructor for the National Outdoor Leadership School and the Wilderness Institute.
Verbeten's appointment follows the resignation of Adonia Ripple, who left FTR to pursue private sector employment in Jackson Hole.
Friends of the Teton River is involved in science and community based watershed protection and restoration.
