Crews fighting a fire that broke out just before Sunday evening at the base of Scout Mountain hope to have it contained by Monday.
According to a Monday morning update from the Eastern Idaho Intergency Fire Center, the Lead Draw Fire is burning 80 acres on US Forest Service Lands in Mink Creek. Firefighters and equipment from the Forest Service, Bureau of Land Management and Pocatello Fire Department are fighting the blaze.
A BLM spokesman said no evacuations have taken place, and firefighters do not expect any.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
